Now, let's take a little trip down memory lane...
Where It All Began
Many of you know me through my sewing patterns, but Sewfisticated Supplies actually began because I was searching for better materials for my own bags.
Back then, finding bag-making supplies that were practical, good quality and readily available wasn't always easy. Like many of you, I spent countless hours testing different materials, hoping to find something that worked just the way I wanted.
That journey eventually became Sewfisticated Supplies.
The Search for Better Fabrics
One thing I quickly realised was how limited the choices were for bag makers.
There were so many beautiful custom prints available on cotton woven, but cotton wasn't always the ideal choice for every bag.
I wanted those same gorgeous prints on fabrics that offered more durability, structure and were easier to sew.
That was what led me into the world of custom printed fabrics on bag-making substrates.

Falling in Love with Mesh
Funny enough, my love for mesh started long before Sewfisticated Supplies.
During Charlotte's diaper-wearing days, mesh bags became my best friend. They were lightweight, breathable and incredibly practical.
When I eventually started making bags, I naturally gravitated back to mesh.
Unfortunately, many of the meshes I tried stretched far too much, making them difficult and frustrating to sew.
So I kept searching.
Eventually, we introduced more stable mesh options, followed by Stiff Mesh and later Mesh Vinyl - each opening up even more possibilities for bag makers.

More Than Just Fabrics
As more makers joined our community, so did the requests.
One product led to another.
And eventually... our Cut & Sew Project Packs, helping makers spend less time cutting and more time enjoying the sewing process.
Every new product we introduced came from the same question:
"Would this make bag making easier and more enjoyable?"

Growing Together
While Sewfisticated Supplies celebrates its third anniversary, it's also been five amazing years of designing sewing patterns.
Watching so many of you create beautiful bags, add your own creative touches and even build small businesses with them has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.
Seeing your photos, reading your messages and celebrating your milestones reminds me why I started all of this in the first place.
Thank You
None of this would have been possible without all of you.
To every customer, tester, striker, moderator, and every single person who has supported Sewfisticated over the years...
Thank you.
Whether you've been with me from the very beginning or have only recently joined our community, thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your sewing journey.
