Ready Stock vs Preorder - What’s the Difference?

Not sure which option to choose? Here’s a quick guide to help you decide.

Ready Stock (In-Stock Items)

• Items are already on hand and ready to ship
• Processing time: 3–5 business days (may take up to 5–7 business days during busy periods or sales)
• Perfect if you need your supplies sooner

Preorder Items

• Items are produced especially for you after the preorder window closes
• Turnaround time: 6–10 weeks from the preorder closing date
• Ideal for securing exclusive prints and designs that may not return

💡 Important: Preorder and ready stock items must be placed in separate orders. Orders combining both will incur a 10% cancellation fee.

Preorder FAQ

🌟 What is a preorder?

A preorder allows you to purchase fabrics or prints before they are produced. This helps us plan production accurately and offer exclusive designs made specifically for this preorder cycle.

📅 When do preorders open and close?

• Opens: 25th of every month
• Closes: 2nd of the following month

Orders placed outside this window will not be included in the preorder. Please note that the dates may varies depending on the holiday seasons.

⏳ What is the preorder turnaround time?

• 6–10 weeks from the preorder closing date
• This timeframe includes production and processing but excludes shipping transit time.

📦 Can I combine preorder and in-stock items?

• Preorder and ready stock items must be placed in separate orders.
• To ensure timely delivery, preorder items cannot be combined with in-stock items.
• Orders combining both will incur a 10% cancellation fee.

💸 Refunds & Order Changes (Preorders)

• Preorders are strictly non-refundable
• Refunds will only be considered if we are unable to meet the stated turnaround time of 6–10 weeks from the closing date
• Any order changes will incur a 10% administrative fee
• Retail availability of preorder prints is not guaranteed

Returns & Refunds (Retail Orders)

At this time, we do not accept returns or exchanges. Please read product descriptions carefully before purchasing.

All items are thoroughly inspected before shipping. If you believe your item has a defect we may have missed, please email sales@sewfisticatedsupplies.com within 7 days of receiving your order, including photos and detailed information.

Each case will be reviewed individually.

⚠️ Shipping fees are non-refundable, and shipping addresses cannot be changed once an order has entered the courier system.

Cancellation Policy

While cancellations are generally discouraged, we understand that exceptions may arise.

If you need to cancel your order, email sales@sewfisticatedsupplies.com within 24 hours of placing your order

Please note:

• A 10% cancellation fee applies to cover administrative costs
• If the package has already been collected by UPS, shipping fees to and from your country will apply even for orders that originally qualified for free shipping
• Repeated cancellations may result in a ban from future purchases

• Estimated delivery: 1–3 business days
• Remote areas may require an additional 2–3 business days

• Flat rate USD 44.90 below

Australia

• Free shipping over AUD 120
• Flat rate AUD 35.90 below

New Zealand

• Free shipping over NZD 160
• Flat rate NZD 55.90 below

Singapore

• Free normal mail for orders SGD 30–40
• Courier shipping for orders above SGD 40
• Otherwise SGD 3–5 applies
• Products that cannot fit into a residential mailbox (e.g. stiff mesh, vinyl, stabilizers) will be shipped via courier only.

Customs Duties & Taxes

🌍 Duty-Free Thresholds

• USA: Not applicable - all shipments are subject to tariffs, duties, and taxes
• Canada: Low threshold of approximately CAD 20
• United Kingdom: £135 (~USD 175)
• Australia: AUD 1,000
• New Zealand: NZD 1,000

Customs duties, taxes, and clearance fees are NOT included in shipping unless prepaid at checkout.

For UK customers, the duty-free threshold is £135 (approximately USD 175). Please keep your total order value in mind, as orders exceeding this amount may be subject to import charges.

Customers in the USA and Canada may choose to prepay duties and taxes at checkout for delivery with no surprise fees. 

If not prepaid:

• Any charges incurred are the buyer’s responsibility
• Charges must be paid before delivery
• UPS will email payment instructions if required

Product Disclaimers

• Actual colours may vary slightly due to screen settings and device displays
• Fabric cuts are not continuous
• Fabric width may vary by ±1" due to the cutting process
• Some pieces may have light markings on the reverse side; these are cosmetic and do not affect usability
• Minor imperfections within 2" of the selvage are not considered flaws
