Ready Stock vs Preorder - What’s the Difference?
Not sure which option to choose? Here’s a quick guide to help you decide.
Ready Stock (In-Stock Items)
- Items are already on hand and ready to ship
- Processing time: 3–5 business days though we often ship out within 3rd business days
(may take up to 5–7 business days during busy periods or sales) - Perfect if you need your supplies sooner
Preorder Items
- Items are produced especially for you after the preorder window closes
- Standard preorder TAT: 6 - 8 weeks upon preorder closes
- Cut & Sew Project Pack TAT: 8 - 10 weeks upon preorder closes
💡 Important: Preorder and ready stock items must be placed in separate orders, unless otherwise specified during special promotions. Orders combining both will incur a 10% cancellation fee.

🌟 What is a preorder?
A preorder allows you to purchase fabrics or prints before they are produced. This helps us plan production accurately and offer exclusive designs made specifically for this preorder cycle.
📅 When do preorders open and close?
Every 4-6 weeks upon last preorder closes.
Dates may vary depending on holiday seasons.
⏳ What is the preorder turnaround time?
- Standard preorder: 6 - 8 weeks
- Cut & Sew Project Pack: 8 - 10 weeks
This excludes shipping transit time.
📦 Can I combine preorder and in-stock items?
No. They must be placed separately, unless otherwise specified during special promotions. A 10% cancellation fee applies if combined.
💸 Refunds & Order Changes (Preorders)
- Preorders are strictly non-refundable
- Refunds only if TAT is not met
- Order changes incur a 10% administrative fee
- Retail availability of prints is not guaranteed
Returns & Refunds (Retail Orders)
We do not accept returns or exchanges.
If you believe your item has a defect, email sales@sewfisticatedsupplies.com within 7 days of receiving your order, including photos and detailed information.
Each case will be reviewed individually.
⚠️ Shipping fees are non-refundable, and shipping addresses cannot be changed once an order has entered the courier system.
Cancellation Policy
While cancellations are generally discouraged, exceptions may be considered.
- Requests must be made within 24 hours of placing your order
- A 10% cancellation fee applies
- If the parcel has already been collected by UPS, shipping fees to and from your country will apply (even if your order qualified for free shipping)
- Repeated cancellations may result in a ban from future purchases

We ship internationally from Singapore via UPS.
Final delivery (last mile) may be handled by your local postal service or courier depending on your location.

All international orders may be subject to import duties, taxes, and clearance fees depending on your country.
These charges are NOT included in shipping unless prepaid at checkout.
USA (Prepaid Tariff - Mandatory)
All orders shipped to the USA require mandatory prepaid tariffs at checkout:
- USD 24 for orders below USD 300
- USD 48 for orders above USD 300
All imports into the USA are subject to duties and tariffs.
Prepaying ensures:
- No additional charges upon delivery
- No customs delays
- Faster clearance
Orders will not be shipped without prepaid tariffs.

- Canada: Approximately CAD 20
- United Kingdom: £135 (~USD 175)

For UK orders exceeding £135, import duties and taxes may apply upon arrival.

Product Disclaimers
- Actual colours may vary slightly due to screen settings and device displays
- Fabric cuts are not continuous
- Fabric width may vary by ±1" due to the cutting process
- Some pieces may have light markings on the reverse side; these are cosmetic and do not affect usability
- Minor imperfections within 2" of the selvage are not considered flaws
