Ready Stock vs Preorder

Ready Stock (In-Stock Items)

Items are physically available and ready to ship.

Processing Time

  • 3-5 business days
  • Most orders are shipped within 3 business days
  • During sales, launches, or peak periods, processing may take up to 5-7 business days

Ideal for customers who need their supplies sooner.

Preorder Items

Preorder items are produced specifically for each preorder cycle after the ordering window closes.

Turnaround Time (TAT)

  • Standard Preorders: 6-8 weeks after preorder closes
  • Cut & Sew Project Packs: 8-10 weeks after preorder closes

Shipping transit time is not included in the turnaround time.

Important

Preorder and ready stock items must be placed in separate orders unless otherwise stated during a special promotion.

Orders containing both preorder and ready stock items may be cancelled and subject to a 10% cancellation fee.

Preorder FAQ

What is a preorder?

A preorder allows you to purchase fabrics and exclusive prints before production begins. This helps us accurately plan production while offering designs that may not be available again.

When do preorders open?

Preorders typically open every 4-6 weeks following the previous preorder cycle. Dates may vary during holiday periods.

What is the preorder turnaround time?

  • Standard Preorder: 6-8 weeks
  • Cut & Sew Project Packs: 8-10 weeks

Shipping transit time is additional.

Can I combine preorder and ready stock items?

No. These must be placed as separate orders unless specifically stated otherwise.

Orders combining both are subject to a 10% cancellation fee.

Refunds, Returns & Order Changes

Preorders

All preorder sales are final.

  • No refunds or exchanges
  • Refunds will only be considered if the stated turnaround time is significantly exceeded
  • Order changes are subject to a 10% administrative fee
  • Retail availability of preorder prints is not guaranteed

Retail Orders

Due to the nature of our products, we do not accept returns or exchanges.

If you believe you have received a defective item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery and include:

  • Order number
  • Description of the issue
  • Clear photographs

Each claim will be reviewed individually.

Shipping fees are non-refundable.

Cancellation Policy

While cancellations are generally discouraged, exceptions may be considered.

  • Requests must be submitted within 24 hours of placing the order
  • A 10% cancellation fee applies
  • If the parcel has already been shipped, all shipping costs incurred will be deducted from any refund, including orders that originally qualified for free shipping
  • Repeated cancellations may result in future purchasing restrictions

Shipping Information

All orders are shipped from Singapore.

We primarily use UPS for international deliveries. Depending on your destination, final delivery may be completed by a local courier partner.

Bulky items such as vinyl, stabilizers, foam, mesh, and large Project Packs require courier shipping regardless of order value.

Estimated Transit Times

  • USA: 6-10 business days
  • Australia, United Kingdom, Canada & New Zealand: 1-3 business days
  • Malaysia: 3-5 business days
  • Singapore: 1-3 business days 

Remote areas may require an additional 3-5 business days.

Transit times are estimates only and may vary due to customs processing, local courier operations, weather conditions, peak seasons, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Customs Duties & Taxes

International orders may be subject to customs duties, taxes, import fees, or brokerage charges imposed by the destination country.

These charges are the responsibility of the recipient unless otherwise stated.

USA Orders

Applicable tariffs are prepaid and included in the shipping fee charged at checkout. Customers will not incur additional tariff charges upon delivery.

Other International Orders

Customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, import fees, or brokerage charges imposed by their local authorities.

Customers are encouraged to familiarise themselves with their local import regulations before placing an order.

Common Duty-Free Thresholds

  • Australia: AUD 1,000
  • New Zealand: NZD 1,000
  • United Kingdom: £135
  • Canada: Approximately CAD 20

Thresholds are subject to change by local authorities without notice.

Important Shipping Notes

  • Shipping fees are non-refundable
  • UPS does not deliver to PO Boxes
  • Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address
  • Address correction fees charged by the carrier will be passed on to the customer
  • Transit times do not include preorder processing times

Returned Parcels

If a parcel is returned to us due to:

  • Incorrect or incomplete shipping information
  • Refusal of delivery
  • Failure to collect the parcel
  • Unpaid customs duties or taxes
  • Any customer-related reason

The customer will be responsible for all return and reshipping charges.

Orders that originally qualified for free shipping remain subject to the actual shipping costs incurred.

If the customer chooses not to have the parcel reshipped, a refund may be issued for the product value only, less any shipping, return shipping, customs, handling, administrative fees, and any other charges incurred.

Product Disclaimers

Fabric & Print Variations

Due to the custom printing process, slight variations in colour, scale, and placement may occur between print runs. Such variations are considered normal and are not regarded as defects.

Print placement shown in product photographs is for reference only and may vary from the item received.

General Product Information

  • Actual colors may vary slightly due to monitor settings, lighting conditions, and device displays
  • Fabric cuts are not continuous unless otherwise stated
  • Fabric width may vary by approximately ±1"
  • Light markings on the reverse side of printed fabrics may occur and do not affect usability
  • Minor imperfections within 2" of the selvage are not considered defects
  • Fabric is cut to order and cannot be returned due to change of mind

Cut & Sew Project Packs

Each Project Pack is prepared and packed by hand.

Print placement may vary from sample photographs.

Where necessary, Sewfisticated Supplies reserves the right to substitute equivalent hardware or notions of equal or greater value without prior notice.
