About Sewfisive Stabilizer - Sew-In and Self-Adhesive Foam

Looking for the perfect foam to give your handmade bags structure and support? Our Sewfisticated-exclusive stabilizer foams are specially curated for bag makers, offering both sew-in and self-adhesive options in a range of thicknesses to suit every project.

Sew-In Foam (Non-Adhesive)

Use between layers or secure with glue or stitching. Three variations:

• 1.5mm Light Padded – Adds soft structure without bulk. Ideal for small bags or lightweight projects. (59" x 18"). Spot clean or hand wash only (not machine washable except for Sew-In Foam 4.0 Premium)
• 1.5mm Ultra Firm – Offers strong stability for more defined shapes. Great for structured bags and organizers. (55" x 18"). Machine washable on gentle cycle; tumble dry low. May stiffen slightly after repeated washes.
• 2mm AND 4mm Foam with Tricot – Provides superior body and cushioning, with a smooth tricot knit layer for easy handling and sewing. Perfect for backpacks and padded accessories. (56" x 18").  Machine washable, tumble dry low, and can be ironed on low to medium heat. Maintains shape and softness even after multiple washes.
  

Self-Adhesive Foam

Peel and stick – no glue or basting required. Three thickness options:

• 1.5mm Light: For subtle shaping, minimal bulk (58" x 18")
• 2.0mm Heavy: Offers firmer structure and cleaner silhouette (58" x 18")
• 3.0mm Premium: Best for maximum support and stability (58" x 18")

Features:

• Lightweight and soft – adds padding without stiffness
• Sewable surface – stitch through easily (use a larger needle and adjust tension)
• Low-heat iron safe – smooth out folds after birthing

 Shipping Info: 

• To reduce shipping costs, the foam will be packed folded inside poly mailers. Any slight creases will relax with use or gentle pressing under fabric.
• For Singapore customers, we offer courier delivery only (no SingPost mailbox options).

Recommended Care Method (Self-Adhesive Foam)

1. Spot clean

• Spot clean or hand wash only (not machine washable except for Sew-In Foam 4.0 Premium)
• Use a damp cloth with mild detergent. This won’t affect the foam inside.

2. Hand wash only if needed

• Use cool water
• Don’t soak too long
• Don’t wring the straps (this causes foam bending)
• Press water out gently with a towel
• Air dry fully

3. Never machine-dry

• Heat will deform the foam immediately.
